REGINA M. FRANCO
Regina M. Franco After practicing in the Metro-Detroit areas of Michigan for several years, Regina M. Franco moved to San Francisco to pursue her yoga practice and to continue her career as a family law attorney. Ms. Franco handles all areas of family law including but not limited to divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence issues, and prenuptial agreements. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Franco offers limited scope services and has handled custody and visitation, support, and post-judgment matters on a noticed limited scope representation basis, as well as undisclosed representation for parties in mediation or proceeding self-represented. Family law issues concern matters of the heart and Ms. Franco’s compassionate and zealous approach to family law has proven to be effective as over the course of her career, the majority of her cases have been resolved through negotiated agreements.
Ms. Franco earned her juris doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Prior to law school, Ms. Franco received her Bachelor of Arts from Albion College in Biology and French, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She graduated high school from Cranbrook Kingswood in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and studied French at The American School in Switzerland. Ms. Franco believes in humanitarian efforts and giving back to the community. She's participated in several Medical Missions in the Philippines, sat on the Host Committee for SOMArts, obtained permanent resident status for an unaccompanied minor on a pro bono basis through the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, and most recently, volunteers at Access Institute, a non-profit organization based in San Francisco that provides mental health care services to those in need and is on the Host Committee for the Spectrum Gala benefiting Access Institute. Ms. Franco is an avid indoor cyclist and enjoys her free time exploring the Bay Area with her poodle-mix, Coquette.
LISA R. VEIZADES
Lisa R. Veizades is Of Counsel to Canter Hagan LLP in San Mateo. Her practice includes collaborative practice, mediation, consultation, preparation of pre- and post-marital agreements, as well as litigation. She is a member of the Family Law Section of both the State Bar of California and the San Mateo County Bar Association. Ms. Veizades has served as a volunteer attorney for the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, the Ask a Lawyer program on KALW Radio, the Lawyers in the Library program in San Mateo County, and has served as a mediator and temporary judge in the Santa Clara Superior Court. She also volunteers as a mediator and temporary judge for the San Mateo Superior Court. Ms. Veizades received her B.A. from Stanford University, her M.A. in Psychology from New College of California, and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
